Japanese Rice harvested in September 2022 in Mitsu, Kyotango. This Rice is not sold in any store. The rice-farmer is only selling it to the residents of the village including our Obachan.

Store in sealed container or bottle, in the fridge.
Rice is most delicious after its harvested (usually once a year, in Autumn) and at this point has a unique fragrance and shine. After a while, the oil on the surface of the rice grains gets oxidized and slowly, its good aroma decreases.
In Japan, newly harvested rice is called shinmai.
