The pattern of this blanket is a Edo Komon pattern. Edo stands for Tokyo, so the fabric is probably from the capital. The pattern is very subtle and difficult to dye. As the template for coloring is not as big as the fabric, the template has to be moved many times. This moving is more difficult the smaller the symbols on the pattern are. This pattern is a more classic pattern. The fabric has a lot of vertical threads what makes the blanket a bit heavier.

Das Muster dieser Decke ist ein typisches Edo-Komon-Muster. Edo steht für Tokio, daher stammt der Stoff wahrscheinlich aus der Hauptstadt. Das Muster ist sehr subtil und schwer zu färben. Die Vorlage muss viele Male verschoben werden. Dieses Verschieben ist, je kleiner die Symbole auf dem Muster sind, umso schwieriger. Dieses Muster ist ein klassisches Muster. Der Stoff hat viele vertikale Fäden, was die Decke etwas schwerer macht.

Die Decke kann mit kaltem Wasser von Hand gewaschen werden, dennoch empfiehlt sich eine professionelle chemische Reinigung, da die Webstruktur der Chirimen-Seide sehr empfindlich ist.
